A New Tradition

We have never carved pumpkins with the boys, over the past couple of years we have painted them and gotten the stick in decorations for them , so this year we decided that it would be fun to actually carve them. Brion and I did most of the carving while the boys played, but they did have fun getting to pull the "guts" out of the pumpkins and LOVED lighting them up when we were finally done.
Mason was super excited to pick out his bat design and Tye and Gaige shared a owl pumpkin.

Mason getting ready to pull out the pumpkin guts!!
Finally, something Tye didn't try to kiss, haha!
Our owl, I did this one and Brion and Mason worked on his bat.
Mason and his bat pumpkin, I'm not sure why he only had one sock on, but he was so happy with his pumpkin!
We got led lights for the pumpkins, MUCH safer than candles and the boys could play with them all they wanted.
What a great new family tradition!!!
