On our way home from Texas we took our time driving and even made a few stops to some really fun places including the Birmingham Zoo!
Mason did not want to take this picture, he was ready to go see all of the animals instead!
The flamingos were so cool, I didn't realize just how colorful they were until we saw them up close!
Tye was amazed by the flamingos, I just didn't want to park his stroller too close to them, they looked like they might peck at him...a little scary!
Mason was looking at the huge 13 foot alligator, but it swam off into the water before I got to take a picture of it.

There was a really neat little train that we got to ride on while we were there that drove all the way through the zoo, Mason was ecstatic!
Tye kept raising his arms up the whole time the train was moving, it looked like he was on a roller coaster, too cute!

Mason wanted to go in the pen with the camels and ride them...crazy kid!
Tye in the monkey exhibit, it was all indoors and Mason loved watching the tiny little squirrel monkeys running around.
The zoo had just gotten a white rhino exhibit and this was the actual crate that they shipped him in from Florida! We didn't get to see too many of the larger animals because it was the middle of the day and they were all resting, but the boys had a blast anyway!
It was a wonderful day, and we really enjoyed getting to have Brion all to ourselves for 13 days!
We got home on Wednesday and got to relax for a few more days before Brion had to go back to work, it was such a fun trip and we even squeezed in a trip to Bass pro shops on the way home!
