A fun filled family day!

Ok, prepare yourself, this is a long one! Brion is in the middle of his 8 days off right now, so today we took the boys out to Chattanooga for a fun filled family day! We started out with an awesome lunch downtown, then headed over to the Children's Discovery Museum! We bought season passes this year, and they have certainly paid for themselves, as this is one of Mason's favorite places to go! Tye was stoked (as you can see in the picture below), and we had a wonderful time together!
Mason says "come on, wet's go"!
At the water station, we still don't know why they have this at the entrance, but Mason loved it and didn't mind the fact that he was all wet for the rest of the time we were there.
This is my favorite part, there are a bunch of giant instruments, and if you press all of the buttons at once they play a really pretty version of Mason's favorite song "trinkle little staws".
On to the dino discovery...this is a huge sandbox full of "dinosaur bones" that the kids get to dig up with little shovels and brushes. We literally had to drag Mason away after an hour so we could go see the rest of the museum.
Playing with paints in the "garage".
Daddy and Tye. It was so much fun taking Tye out today, he was so aware of everything, and loved looking around! He absolutely loves Brion, and his little face lights up when he sees his Daddy!
Hmmm, who is having more fun, Mason or Brion? This was Brion's favorite thing to see when he was little, it was fun to watch the two of them playing with it today!
Mason checking out tiny bugs in the microscope.
One of the museum workers brought out a ball python for the kids to see, and guess who was first in line...the boy loves all things creepy crawly!
Ahhh...the T-Rex ate Tye!
And then Mason!!!!
Mason and the baby dinosaur.

Cooking mommy and egg sandwich, I'm not sure where that came from, but that is what he said he was going to cook, and who am I to squelch his imagination?

Most of the museum is geared for kids 1 and older, but there is a baby play area that has all things soft, so Tye and I hung out in there for a while. He really liked all of the bright colors, and it was fun to watch him!
He is getting so big! We are so proud of this little guy!
"This is fun Mom"
Last but certainly not least, the giant bubble! It took about 10 tries to get this picture, so here it is! Mason thought this was really neat!

We had sooooo much fun at the museum, we decided why end there! After we left, we headed over to Sportsman's Warehouse where Brion let Mason pick out a new toy "powpow" (gun) as a reward for doing so well with potty training. By the way, Mason wore his undies the entire day without an accident...yay!!! We checkedout there, and headed across the street to Sam's Club for some buying in bulk fun, and finished off the day with BBQ for supper, and then bedtime!
